It isn’t often that you will see me writing about a steakhouse, but when you keep hearing AMAZING things about all the food at one you just have to check it out right? Thankfully I was lucky enough to be invited to check out STK Orlando, at Disney Springs, with the Central Florida Lady Bloggers last week. We were treated to a sit down lunch where we were able to try some items off their incredible lunch menu.
STK Orlando is not your traditional steakhouse. Don’t expect to find antiques on the walls or a stuffy atmosphere. They’re a modern, chic steakhouse for anyone who finds the traditional American steakhouse a tad on the boring side. With a trendy and stylish atmosphere, world-class service, and incredible food, STK is a perfect place for afternoon drinks or for a night out in Disney Springs. With an expansive brand new space which features a stunning outdoor patio area as well as a beautiful private dining room, STK is Orlando’s newest lunch and dinner destination.
STK Orlando is the only STK location to have an amazing open second floor dining room with an outdoor patio. Right now lunch is served upstairs daily so you can check out these amazing spaces. Complete with it’s own bar and second floor kitchen, eating upstairs will give you the same great experience as downstairs.
During our lunch we were able to sample three appetizers, two sides, a lunch entree, and three desserts. Being a non-steak eater I was glad to see all the non-steak options they had available and excited to see if they stood up to the rave reviews. Our appetizers included their LIL BRGs, Shaved Brussel Sprouts, and Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon salad. They were all amazing, but I’d have to say that the LIL BRBs were my favorite (and a favorite among all the ladies). They were tasty, flavorful, and their “special sauce” was amazing!
For our lunch entree we had a choice of the STK Salad, Crispy Mahi Mahi Sandwich, or Filet Medallion. Being a non-steak eater I went with the Crispy Mahi Mahi sandwich and I was NOT disappointed. It was coconut crusted Mahi Mahi topped with pickled slaw and chili remoulade on a potato roll, served with a side of fries. Holy cow was this a monster of a sandwich! The fish was very meaty and perfectly crispy. It went really well with the asparagus and parmesan truffle fries that we tried. The parmesan truffle fries were another fan favorite and I’d definitely recommend ordering them on your next visit.
And just because we hadn’t had enough amazing food (I kid, I kid), they brought out three desserts for us to try. Thankfully they brought our smaller portions so that we could all try each of them. We enjoyed the Carmelito Bar, Orange Dream Cheesecake, and Bag O’Donuts. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for all three desserts, but personally I enjoyed the Orange Dream Cheesecake the most. To me it was a cross between cheesecake and creme brulee which just made it amazing.
Since it was Sunday Fun Day I decided to treat myself to a couple of cocktails. First up was the Strawberry Cobbler made with Belvedere Vodka and fresh muddled strawberries. It was the perfect sweet treat on a hot summer day, but still packed quite the punch! I followed that up with the Orlando Pride made with Bulldog Gin, fresh lemon juice, muddled raspberries, and egg whites. During the month of June they made a donation to the One Orlando Fund for each Orlando Pride cocktail purchased.
I definitely enjoyed my visit to STK Orlando and will be back again soon, maybe once the weather is cooler and I could enjoy the patio. I think it would be a great place for a date night or to take Orlando visitors as it is a wonderfully non-Disney restaurant on Disney property.
Thank you to STK Orlando for hosting the Central Florida Lady Bloggers for a wonderful lunch!
