“I want to be Lebanese when I grow up!” was one of the first things I said when asked how I liked the food at Paramount Fine Foods, a new Mediterranean (Lebanese) restaurant at I-Drive-360 that opened last summer. Who knew that I LOVED Lebanese food!?
So I was very excited when I learned that they would be opening another location a bit closer to me in Lake Mary. Paramount Lebanese Kitchen is a quick service version of their flagship location in Orlando. Ya know that quick service Mexican restaurant where you can get things in a burrito or a bowl? Well it is like that, but with Lebanese food and it is a whole lot better.
You pick your filling (various meats or falafel), how you want it served (in a pita, bowl, etc), and load it up with toppings and their homemade sauces. Of course if you want a full on meal they have those as well. And you can finish off your meal with one of their amazing desserts. It isn’t quite the selection they have at their I-360 location, but it is all still amazing.
I decided to go with a bowl with rice, chicken shawarma, lettuce, tomatoes, parsley, and garlic sauce. It was SO good! They also have a good selection of appetizers and sides to go along with whatever meal you chose.
I love that you can get a fresh, tasty, and FAST Lebanese meal without having to either a) drive out to International Drive or b) spend a lot of time at a sit down restaurant. Hooray for my quick options!
OH, and they have TWO types of Kinafe, the amazing cheese dessert that I had on my trip to NYC in April. It is amazing and I loved watching the surprise on people’s faces as they tried this weird cheese dessert. If you are ever in a position to try it, here or anywhere, please get over the “cheese” factor and just try it. You will thank me (and Sunny Anderson for introducing me to it)!
So if you are in on the hunt for a tasty, kinda exotic, but quick meal, definitely give Paramount Lebanese Kitchen in Lake Mary a shot. Maybe you will want to be Lebanese when you grow up too 🙂
