Man alive are there a TON of things out there for pups! During my search of fun things to get my pup Thea I came across Pure Earth Pets Eco-Friendly dog boxes. A monthly dog box subscription AND it is eco-friendly? Cool!
While making their own home more sustainable, owners Leanne and John thought that their dog Dover’s toys and treats were probably the easiest switch they could make! Leanne began searching for earth-friendly toys and realized they were not so easy to find. That is when Pure Earth Pets was born! She wanted to simplify finding sustainable options for our pets and help reduce waste in the pet industry. With over 300 million pounds of plastic pet food and treat bags generated in the US each year, she knew she had to do something to help the environment while helping our pets.
With Pure Earth Pets, each month you and your pet will be thrilled with how you are reducing waste, recycling, and enjoying the benefits of a more environmentally conscience life all while giving back. Also, each month Pure Earth Pets selects a customer-nominated charity to donate a portion of our proceeds to. As a shelter dog mom myself, supporting those who give our pets the lives they deserve is super important to me!
Each Pure Earth Pets box is filled with sustainable toys and natural or limited ingredient treats. Even the boxes are fully biodegradable and printed with soy ink to reduce waste that is usually associated with subscription boxes. Each box contains 5-6 sustainable or limited ingredient products for you and your pup. You can do 1, 3, 6, or 12-month subscriptions. The more months you sign up for, the cheaper the boxes are. Once you place your order, your first box will be shipped within 24 hours and then on the 1st of each month.
When Thea’s first Pure Earth Pets box showed up we were both super excited. Thea couldn’t wait to bust into it and see what she got. It contained 2 bags of treats, a bottle of Omega 3 oils, a toy, and a super cute doggie bandana. I feel like Leanne was reading my mind when she packed this box because the vet JUST told me that I should consider adding Omega 3 oil to Thea’s food. I just bought a big bottle, but this smaller one will be great for when we travel later this month.
One of the things I really love about this subscription box is the treats. They only have REAL ingredients and they are all listed on the packaging AND you can actually pronounce them. If you aren’t going to put weird things into your body, shouldn’t you do the same for your favorite pup? Once you see the ingredients and realize that you could totally eat these treats yourself, you will feel better about what you are giving your pup.
Fall in love with something that came in your monthly box? They have a re”tail” shop online where you can purchase individual items. No need to worry about running out of your’s pets’ new favorite treat! They even offer specialty boxes, like a puppy box or birthday box, that you could send as a gift or get for your favorite pooch. They really have you covered!
Even though this is the first pet subscription box I’ve received, I am super happy with it. I always worry about getting things that I won’t use in a subscription box, but I know that I will use everything that came in this box. Thea was trying to take the rope toy out of the box before I even had the whole thing open. This is a subscription box that I could definitely see myself ordering on the regular.
*Disclosure: I received a free one-month subscription in exchange for my review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
