You read that right, last week I had tacos for dinner, went to the movies, AND got frozen yogurt for $7. How you ask?
Well, first we started off the night at Tijuana Flats for Taco Tuesday. You get 2 tacos, chips and a drink for $4.99. I ordered a side of guacamole so that brought my total up to $7.30. Pretty good deal huh?
Afterwards we headed to the Winter Park Village Regal movie theater in hopes of getting into an advanced screening of Despicable Me 2. I signed up for tickets last week, but they made sure to let us know that seating was limited and we might not get in. We stood outside in the Florida heat for a good 30 minutes before the line started to move inside. Imagine our faces when we got to the front of the line and they told us their weren’t anymore seats. WHAT?! Thankfully a few minutes later they came out and said they had 2 seats down in front and did we want them. Of course!
We got settled into our front row seats and waited less than 10 minutes for the movie to start. Imagine our surprise when the movie started and it was in 3D! Oops. It seems the fine folks at Universal Pictures forgot to mention that the advanced copy they were sending was in 3D. They stopped the movie and went to get 3D glasses for everyone. I was pretty impressed that they stopped the movie, got the glasses, passed them all out, and had the movie back up and running in less than 15 minutes. Way to go!
The movie was AWESOME! If you liked the first one you will definitely like this one. There was even some humor in the movie that you only got if you weren’t born in the last 15 years. All I’m gonna say is, do you remember the boy band All 4 One? Tee hee.
After the movie we decided to stop next door and get some frozen yogurt at Menchie’s. My friend handed them her Smileage card (its like their rewards card) and it reminded me that I had mine. I handed it to the cashier and learned that I had $5 on it to use for my birthday. Score! So my frozen yogurt was FREE!
So that my friends is how you do dinner, a movie, and frozen yogurt for $7 🙂
