Small Business Saturday is all about the Local Love! This year I encourage you to remember all of the amazing small businesses in your community and SHOP SMALL on Saturday November 26. I will be heading out to some of my favorite local businesses that day to pick up some holiday gifts, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you. Most of these are in Orlando, but I’m sharing a few out of town favorites as well.
This store makes my heart sing! I love stationary! I have an entire cabinet in the Craft Cave full of cards, paper, envelopes, and notepads. Sending snail mail might be a dying art, but I still love sending cards and letters in the mail. So when Paper Goat Post opened in Ivanhoe Village I was SUPER excited. Since the first time I stopped in they have moved to a bigger and better location just a couple doors down from their original space. In addition to tons of handmade local cards, they also sell party supplies (including these super cute round balloons), custom invitations, and unique gifts. Every time I walk in I can’t help but walk out with another cute addition to my stationary collection.
WP Distilling Co/The Brewstillery/The Bear and Peacock Bar
Please go here! Like right now. You don’t even have to finish reading this post if you don’t want to, you can do that when you get there. WP Distilling Company just moved to their new Brewstillery location on Orange Avenue in Winter Park and its amazing! Not only will they be serving up their own beers in the next few weeks, you can always buy their fantastic Vodka, Rum, and Bourbon on site. The offer tours of their brewstillery, a great relaxed space to hang out with friends, and even on outdoor beer garden.
The Lovely is an innovative startup brick and mortar aimed to promote and sell the works of local artisans and vintage collectors who are passionate about craftsmanship, quality and provide value to our customers. It is one of my favorite places to find amazing vintage clothes, home decor, and furniture.
Naked Bar Soap Co is located in College Park and it is just wonderful! The term “naked” means undisguised, blatant, and devoid of concealment. There are no questionable or unrecognizable ingredients in their products. Their artisan soaps are made with nourishing ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, and sustainable palm oil combined with dollops of creamy Shea, rich Cocoa, and exotic Kokum butter scented only with essential oils and no synthetic fragrances. Simply put their soaps are made with a handful of naturally, gorgeous ingredients. Naked Bar Soap Co. believes great things come in small batches. Crafting soap is therapeutic and holistic all at the same time. They love what they do and it reflects in their creations!
The Coffee Fox is a craft coffee house in downtown Savannah, Georgia featuring the pour-over coffee brew method as well as pastries, cheese boards, wine and beer. Not in the area? You can also get your goods from their online store! They offer $5 flat rate shipping through the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.
If you are local to Tampa, my bestie Laura suggests that you check out Frostings, Etc. Frosting’s Etc. is a locally owned and operated artisan bakery in Tampa, FL. You can stop in to pick up a tasty treat for yourself, order something for your holiday parties, or get a sweet treat for a friend. Regardless of what you are looking for, Frostings has you covered! (see what I did there?)
