I mentioned before how I won entry into the Gasparilla 8k from Natalie’s Orchid Island OJ. So when I saw that they were putting a call out for “Brand Fans” I sent my information in right away. I was super excited when I found out that I was picked as one! What did I get? For the next three months I will get coupons for free OJ. How cool is that? What I do with all this free OJ? Whatever I want 🙂
I’ve decided that drinking 2 gallons of OJ a month is not in my best interest. I LOVE OJ, and I LOVE Natalie’s OJ, but it doesn’t love me. If I could I would drink it every day. But I can’t. So I’ve decided that I’m going to try and come up with recipes for other things you can do with Natalie’s OJ other than drink it straight. I’ve even enlisted some of my friends and fellow bloggers to help out with this adventure. First up? A super yummy alcoholic beverage!
I got a small bottle of Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka for Christmas and have been wondering what to do with it. When I picked up my first 1/2 gallon of OJ today a lightbulb went off. My mom makes these wonderful Strawberry Orange smoothies that I just love. I’d never thought about a strawberry orange drink before – but it turned out wonderfully!
Strawberry Shortcake Screwdriver
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Strawberry Shortcake Vodka
4.5 oz Natalie’s Orchid Island OJ
Combine 1.5 oz of Strawberry Shortcake Vodka, 4.5 oz of Natalie’s OJ, and ice in a shaker. Give it a healthy shake! I suggest dancing around the kitchen while you do it. I’m fairly certain it make the drink taste better. Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour in your drink.
Ta-da! Even I was surprised with just how yummy it was.
*Disclosure: Natalie’s OJ is providing me with 4 half gallons of juice each month for the next three months as part of their Brand Fan program. What I do with the juice/coupons is entirely up to me. All opinions regarding Natalie’s OJ are my own
