When my friend Lita bought a house in Downtown South here in Orlando she excitedly told me that a new brewery was opening around the corner from her. So of course when they finally opened their doors in March of this year we were there on opening day!
Located in the heart of Orlando Florida, Ocean Sun Brewing is devoted to providing a unique brewery experience and comfortable drinking environment, enhanced by great local food and live entertainment. Ocean Sun produces traditional ales and lagers with an occasional not so traditional offering. Their Head Brewer Noah Cowles firmly believes in brewing a quality “true to style” beer first and foremost.
They usually have 8-10 beers on tap that you can get in three sizes – a small glass as part of a flight, a pint, or a growler to take home and enjoy. They have something for everything and their staff is super helpful and will help you find exactly what you are looking for.
They have happy hour from 3-6 pm daily and regular sized drafts are just $3.50. On Tuesday’s you can get a growler fill for just $10! They regularly have live music, plenty of games to play, you can get tours of the brewery, and on Sunday’s they have bottomless mimosa’s for just $15.
You can bring your own food or order from one of the local nearby restaurants (menus provided) for delivery. Personally I’m super excited because soon La Fiesta Mexican Grill will be relocating to the space right next door to Ocean Sun! And dogs are always welcome to join you at your table inside. How cool is that?
And the icing on the cake is that the first Saturday on the month they have yoga! For just $10 you get an hour long all levels yoga class followed by a tasty pint of beer. It is a great way to get your weekend started.
