I have a gym membership but I hate going to the gym. The only reason I have it is so I have access to a treadmill for when the weather in Florida keeps my from being able to run outside. I don’t particularly like running on the treadmill (and only do it when I have to) and I hate using the weight machines. Thankfully I got a great deal on my membership and I don’t feel bad that I only use it for one thing. But on the flip side I KNOW that I need to cross train and do something other than running – but what? That is where Booya Fitness comes in.
Booya Fitness is an online service that gives you access to all sorts of workout videos and classes. Booya fitness is group fitness without the mob! How did Booya Fitness begin? Well the creator, Pritta Kumar, loved fitness classes but attending a fitness class wasn’t always easy or affordable. So she decided to take matters into her own hands and start a company that would make fitness classes accessible and affordable.
A subscription is just $9.99 and gives you unlimited access to videos. If you sign up for 3 months at a time you save $1 a month and if you sing up for a whole year you save over $20. And the best part? You can get a trial month for FREE to give Booya a test run and see if its right for you.
And just to make things a bit more fun for you this month, they are offering a Valentine’s Day challenge. Once you sign up (remember that free month?), every time you work out you get the chance at some fabulous prizes from G-Loves, Christen Michel, Birddogs and Emily Hsu!
Booya Fitness classes are meant to be done at home and because of that they require little to no extra equipment. One of my favorite things is that you can actually tell the system what things you have at home and it will take that into consideration when you are searching for classes. Don’t have any equipment at home? That is fine too! There is a “I have no equipment” option as well. When the results of your search pop up it gives you all sorts of information about the class including the type of class, equipment required, length of the class, and average calories burned. Pretty neat huh?
I love all the yoga and pilates options, but one of my favorites is the Stoked Stretch class. Its just 7 minutes long but its great after a run or when I just feel like I need to stretch things out.
So if you are looking for something new to add to your routine or a new way to attend classes, definitely check out Booya Fitness.
