Part 2: All You Need is Love… and Cupcakes
When I was looking for a theme for a bridal shower I had to host I decided to go with cupcakes (since the bride loves them as much as I do). I had a designer friend* design the base for the invite and based the rest of the decorations around them.
For the invitations I simply matted them in coordinating patterned papers and added a felt flower embellishment. I also used an extra invitation, along with a Fiskars border punch, to make a guestbook page for everyone to sign.
One of the main decorations for the shower I replicated the cake from the invitation. I used the same coordinating papers from the invitations, along with a Fiskars border punch and squeeze punch. It was a great decoration for the shower and the bride can even use it afterwards for the wedding.
I like how designer friend* was asterisk’d, lol
I totally meant to add a footnote that said “Designer friend = the bride-to-be” but I totally forgot! I better do that 🙂
