Tropical Lemonade Cocktail Recipe

Summer time in Florida means lots of sun, high temperatures, time by the pool, and the perfect excuse for a summer cocktail. Yesterday was National Lemonade Day and it got me thinking about how growing up lemonade was always one of those go-to summer drinks. But now as an adult, lemonade is a great go-to for cocktails.

I came across some Simply Lemonade with Mango at Target yesterday and it immediately landed in my basket. At first I was just thinking it was a good thing to have around for these hot days, but then I realized it would make an amazing base for a cocktail. After a quick look in the fridge I came up with a super easy, and tasty, summer cocktail to share.

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the lemonade and rumshine. Give it a good stir. And there you have it! Quick, easy, and super tasty.

If you want to turn this into an easy party drink, just mix a whole bottle of the lemonade together with 2.5 cups of rumshine. You could serve it in a punch bowl or one of those nifty jar with a spout.

This would be great for a BBQ or even a Saturday afternoon filled with college football. I think it would be great for watching the Gators play because the drink ends up a beautiful shade of orange.

*Disclosure: This post wasn’t sponsored by Simply Lemonade or Wicked Dolphin. These are just two products that I happen to love. Plus Wicked Dolphin rum is made here in Florida and you KNOW how much I love all things local!
