Last weekend I went to Tampa to hang out with my bestie. Her husband was out of town so we decided to have a girlie weekend – thrifting, eating, pedicures, and of course baking. We went to 4 thrift stores over 2 days and we both did very well. I spent a total of $23.22 and got a total of 8 items. Here’s the breakdown:
Hand painted cupcake wine glass: $1.06
Penguin Mug: $0.99
Orange plastic serving tray: $1.06
Orange polka dot skirt: $3.99
Black skirt: $1.99 (it was 50% off)
Lime Green Dress: $2.49 (it was 50% off)
Orange silk shirt: $2.49 (it was 50% off)
Leopard print heels: $9.99
As you can see, the heels were my “splurge” for the day. But let me explain. These shoes were in MINT condition. You could tell from the bottom that they had been worn a couple times, but other than that they were perfect. Also, they were originally an $80 pair of heels. So I think I got a pretty great deal. Plus they are sexy as hell.
I know the lime dress is a little crazy and vintage, but that is why I like. I can even wear it to work with a pair of white sandals that I all ready have. It’ll be something fun and different to wear. AND, it looks way better on a person (ME) than on a hanger.
I bought the orange silk shirt, black skirt (not pictured), and orange polka dot skirt for work. The orange silk shirt was a last minute find. I was standing outside the fitting room waiting for one to open up and I found it on the “return” rack. What a score!
Love the shoes – great find!
