One of the coolest things about Zooma Florida is that all the race activities take place at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island – the expo, the mocktail party, the race finish, and the after party. In addition to all that fun stuff, I was told that the Spa at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island was amazing. Plus all Zooma participants get a 25% discount on spa therapy services, excluding salon services and retail items. You just have to mention ZOOMA when booking your appointments (which means you still have time to make some appointments and get a great discount).
Relax and indulge at The Ritz-Carlton Spa with a Surrender massage, wrap, scrub, or facial. Surrender experiences begin with a lifestyle consultation and your treatment is personalized to benefit your specific needs and wishes. Enjoy complimentary access to spa amenities such as the whirlpool, eucalyptus-infused steam room, sauna, and the outdoor spa serenity pool.
I decided to make an appointment for the afternoon after the race. I will be trying out their signature Heaven in a Hammock® treatment. This exclusive relaxation treatment performed in a hammock that is both comforting and energizing. The benefits of zero-gravity and intuitive touch come together in this exclusive treatment created by The Ritz-Carlton Spa®, Amelia Island. The hammock elongates the spine to deliver a sense of weightless flotation, while giving the body greater flexibility and range of motion. During this unique relaxation experience, the hammock moves at a rhythmic tempo ranging from comforting to energizing.
They have a lot of services to choose from on their spa menu, so you are sure to find something that works for you. After two back to back race weekends (10k and 1/2 marathon) and then having 3 more after Zooma (two 5ks and a 1/2 marathon), I will DEFINITELY need a bit of relaxation time. I’m really looking forward to trying out the spa and will have a full report when I get back from my mini-runcation.
