During the month of September, 15 spas in Fort Lauderdale are participating in a Spa Chic promotion. For just $99 per person you are able to enjoy some wonderful spa services for about half the regular price. During our recent trip to Fort Lauderdale my bestie and I were able to take advantage of this promotion at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa (which happened to be right next door to our hotel).
Each spa offers different packages for the $99 price and the Marriott Harbor Beach had three packages that you could chose from:
Option #1
Aroma Decadence Facial: A multi vitamin facial that allows your skin to rediscover perfect balance. The heart of this treatment is a blend of aromatherapy and phytotherapy elements that deeply replenish the skin and provide hydration, harmony and radiance.
and
Zen Pedi: A 30 minute pedicure with your choice of aromatherapy scent.
Option #2
Light Relaxation Swedish Massage / 50 minutes: A classic massage for relaxation with light pressure. Long flowing strokes are used which improves circulation, as well as reduces pain & joint stiffness. Upgrade to a therapeutic Muscle Melter massage for an additional $25.

Argan Oil Scalp Massage: Using the Zen scent of your choice, a gentle rhythmic massage is performed on the scalp and neck. Benefits can include stress relief, reduction in headaches and migraines & a boost in blood flow to the scalp which promotes healthier hair growth.
Option #3

Laura and I decided to go with option #3. We both wanted a massage and my hands were screaming for a mani, so this worked out perfectly for us.
We arrived about 15 minutes early, per the spas suggestion, and were quickly lead back into the spa. We were given robes, lockers, and a key to get us all around the spa. After a short tour of the facility we were left to change in our robes and get ready for our massages. With any 50 minute service you get complimentary use of the spa facilities for the entire day of your service.
Spa facilities include use of the cardiovascular – weight training room, a variety of fitness classes, outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, separate spa facilities for men and women, featuring steam, sauna, whirlpool, spa amenities and toiletries for your personal use, private locker provided with plush robe and sandals for use within the spa, and complimentary juices, teas and fruit served throughout the day. They really do have EVERYTHING you could need while you are there.
We waited in a very nice waiting area for our massage therapists to come fetch us. Water, tea, and juices are available to enjoy while you wait. Our therapists arrived right on time and we were taken back to our rooms. They have 6 massage rooms, so they are able to accommodate a LOT of people throughout the day. We both really enjoyed our massages and I wish I could have taken Josephina back to Orlando with me.
We didn’t have to wait very long after our massages for our nail techs to come get us for our manicures. Even though we were their last appointments of the day they took their time and we never felt rushed. We were even offered champagne, which I took advantage of, when we were first brought in. My hands welcomed the pampering as I hadn’t had a real manicure in ages. I loved my tech Sandy who was very friendly and talked throughout the entire manicure.
Unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy the other spa facilities available, but made sure to look around again before we left. The next time I’m in town I will definitely be going back to the spa and making sure I have time to enjoy all the facilities and spend some time by the pool. They also have a HUGE Jacuzzi in the women’s locker room that I was bummed I couldn’t spend some time in.
