Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

Each season Target does a giveaway online for a cosmetics bag full of health and beauty samples. I got my first one in the fall (and loved it), so I was very excited when they decided to do it again in the spring. I signed up online and was one of the lucky few, or maybe it was more than a few, to receive one of the bags. I was SUPER lucky because I actually ended up receiving a second bag a couple of days later.

Included in this bright pink and orange bag (which I LOVED, but I’m sure others weren’t as happy with) were six samples and a book of coupons.  It included:

  • Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
  • Pantene Pro-v Conditioner
  • Nivea extended moisture lotion
  • Burt’s Bees Radiance SPF 15 Day Lotion
  • Loreal’s Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer
  • Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser

The item I was most excited about was the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. I have a LOT of issues with face washes and makeup due to allergies. So I’m always looking for things that are organic or made for sensitive skin. I’d seen the Simple products on my visits to Target, but hadn’t gotten around to trying any of them out. These facial wipes have no alcohol, no oil, no perfume, no dyes, and they are even said to remove waterproof mascara. Sign me up!

The first time I used them when one day after getting home from work. I wasn’t going to be taking a shower right away because I was going for a run, but I still wanted all the makeup off my face. Upon opening the package the first thing I noticed was the lack of smell. Score! You cannot believe all the times I’ve picked up a product that is supposed to have no smell only to be ambushed by it the first time I open the package. That did NOT happen with these wipes. I wasn’t wearing mascara the first day I used it, but it removed all my makeup without a problem. I was even able to rub the wipe right over my eyes and I didn’t have any burning afterwards.

The second time I used them I WAS wearing mascara. It came off with no problem at all.

See how there is all that mascara on there? And you know how when you usually take mascara off you end up with it smeared all under your eyes afterwards? This only happened a little bit with these wipes and just a single pass under the eyes and it was all gone. I wasn’t left looking, or feeling, like I needed to wash my face again. Usually when I use any sort of makeup remover I end up having to wash my face afterwards because everything feels greasy and gross. Not with these.

I was bummed when I took one out to use it yesterday and realized I only had one more left. But then I remembered I had a whole other pack under the sink! Although I will probably just hang on to that one to use as a travel set.

*I don’t really think I need to mention this, but Target didn’t send me this stuff to review or pay me for the review. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones to get one of these giveaways and decided to review one of the products. I got another one during their summer giveaway, so there might be more reviews to come. We shall see 🙂
