My friends and I LOVE Meet + Make and we LOVE going as a group. It has become a “thing” for our group of ladies that the first person to receive the email about tickets going on sale for Meet + Make by Sarah Hearts posts about it on Facebook for the rest of the group to see it. The event sells out fast and no one wants to miss out. It was no different this last time tickets went on sale. In fact it was even MORE exciting because this was the first Meet + Make that was going to be on a Friday night. Talk about a fun Girls Night Out right?
This particular Meet + Make was at a new location AND had close to 100 people in attendance. It was a crappy evening weather wise but that didn’t put a damper on the evenings activities. We checked in, got our box of supplies, and claimed our tables. How cute are these pizza box style Meet + Make boxes?
We then quickly jumped in line to get a tasty alcoholic beverage and some sweet treats to get us through an evening of crafting. We had some delicious punch made with Smirnoff vodka and tasty treats made by the head baker of the 4 Rivers Sweet Shop.
When we got back to our seats we of course had to check out our awesome goodie bags. Each attendee takes home a swag bag full of carefully curated finds from amazing shops. I always love checking out the goodies that Sarah gets for us and this time was no exception. I’ve already found homes for most of the items!
Our project this time was a geometric wood panel wall art piece. When you opened your pink Meet + Make pizza box it was filled with all the supplies you would need to complete the project. I must admit that I loved the individual pots of paint and not having to constantly interrupt my fellow crafters if I needed another color.
I decided right away that I wanted to make a piece of art for my craft room. I wasn’t exactly sure what the overall design was going to be, but I knew it was going to center around #craftybitch. Tee hee. I painted that in the middle of the board and then went to work figuring out what would surround it.
The best part of these events is getting to eat, drink, and craft with such a fun group of ladies. Its always get to meet new folks and see some of our favorites. It is impossible to go to Meet + Make and not watch away with at least one awesome new friend. Thanks Sarah for another great evening!
