I love doing yoga, but I don’t get to yoga very often. Most of the time yoga classes aren’t offered until after dinner time, which for most people is helpful, but I’m one of those people that if I don’t go to the gym or workout after work it just doesn’t happen. Once I am home I am usually in for the night.
Thankfully a friend suggested looking up yoga videos on YouTube. In particular she suggested checking out “Yoga with Adriene.” I immediately fell in love with Adriene. Not only does she have some great videos of all different lengths, she usually has her super cute dog with her. How can you go wrong with yoga and a dog?
Being able to watch these videos and do yoga at home has been so helpful lately. Its been a rough couple of months and its nice being able to relax with some yoga at home. I just pull out my yoga mat, turn off the lights, light a couple of candles, and center myself.
These videos also cut down on the excuses I tend to have for why I haven’t run, or gone to the gym, or been to yoga. If you have the internet and a computer or tv screen you have all you need for an at home yoga practice. Now that my back is starting to feel better I’m hoping to get back to my at home yoga practice.
What do you do to cut down on your excuses for not getting in a workout?
