If you are anything like me, holiday shopping has been a bit weird this year. I’m not doing my normal shopping in the stores and most of my gifts have been purchased online. It isn’t ideal, but it is just the way things are right now. But, we can still get our friends and family some great gifts AND support our local businesses.
Today I’m sharing some local (to Orlando) businesses that have some great gift options this year. Even if you aren’t in Orlando, most of these businesses do offer some online options as well. Or you can look for similar businesses in your own area.
If you have been around the blog for any length of time, you may have noticed that I am slightly obsessed with Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. This year they are offering some really fun gift ideas, including Ice Cream for a Year. How can you go wrong with that??
Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co. is local to Orlando, but you may have heard of them even if you don’t live here. They have some of the best coffee around and you will ALWAYS find it in my pantry. My favorite is their Santa’s White Christmas! Right now you can find a variety of holiday flavors and giftsets in their store and online. They have the perfect gifts for the coffee lover in your life.
When I was a kid one of the things that my mom taught me was to send thank you and birthday cards. That has stuck with me my entire life and I still send cards in the mail to friends and family. If you are anything like me, then you will absolutely love Paper Goat Post. This local shop is filled with amazing cards and a fabulous selection of creative gifts. If you can’t make it into their shop (which I HIGHLY recommend if you are local), you can also shop for some of their best sellers online.
Ya gotta eat right? My friends over at Hungry Pants can help you out with a quick meal while out shopping (they have indoor seating, outdoor seating, and to-go options), can catering a holiday meal, or your can pick up some gift cards or a super cute shirt for gifts. This plant curious restaurant is an amazing place, even for the meat-eaters in your life!
Have I mentioned that I love beer? I think I may have mentioned it on here once or twice. I am super lucky that I have an AMAZING brewery within two miles of my house!
If you have a beer lover on your list, they can totally help you out. To-go beers, merchandise, and gift cards are available to fit all of your beer lovin’ needs. Orlando is filled with TONS of local breweries, so it is easy to find a brewery close to you that can help you out.
So there ya have it – some fun and local places to get some great gifts for family and friends this year. This year, now more than ever, our local businesses need our help and our business. Even if you don’t hit up one of these businesses, think about supporting any local businesses you can this holiday season. It has been a ROUGH year for them and we want to make sure that they are still around for us to enjoy in 2021.
