So all I could think about from the minute I got back from Chicago was the long weekend that was only 2 days away. Thankfully those two days went by very quickly. Unfortunately, I woke up Saturday in a WHOLE lot of pain. I’ve been having problems with my hips lately. Usually it lasts a couple of days and just about when the pain becomes too much it goes away. Well Saturday morning it was at the “too much” point as soon as I woke up. And since BOTH hips are hurting this time, my back is killing me as well. Fan-tastic. For those of you that don’t know, when I was born both of my hips were dislocated. I was breach and my mom didn’t have insurance, so the doctor refused to do a c-section. So let’s just say that my entrance into this world was painful for both my mom and I. Nice huh?
Due to all this pain I’m currently in, I haven’t done much this weekend that hasn’t involved my couch. Yesterday I ran errands in the afternoon and then had dinner with my mom, but I was about to cry by the time I got home. Today I’ve slept in and baked cupcakes (take 2 of the semi-homemade hostess cupcakes). Finishing them is definitely going to be a long and slow process. I really wanted to scrapbook this weekend, but the thought of sitting in my chair for hours of end… I don’t think so. So yeah, my weekend isn’t quite going the way I anticipated. Can I tell you how wonderful it is that I don’t have to go to work tomorrow? Oh yeah!
There is a big part of me that is just PISSED. I finally have a long weekend to just do what I want and I can’t because everything just hurts too much. Its 3:30 in the afternoon and I haven’t done much of anything and all I can think about is taking a nap. I wanted to be crafty. I wanted to decorate for Halloween (yes, all ready). I wanted to do some shopping. I wanted to clean (i’m sick, I know). I wanted to lay by the pool and read. But most of that is NOT going to happen this weekend. I guess I should be glad that I have 3 days to relax and feel better. But I didn’t want to just sit around for 3 days. Blah.
