Join Give Kids the World for their new Give Kids The World Presents speaker series. Their first guest is Walt Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter, who will share behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of guests’ favorite Disney attractions.
Tony Baxter is the former senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he was responsible for creating designs and carrying out the construction of attractions all over the world. During his 47-year tenure with the company, Tony oversaw the construction of numerous contemporary Disney theme park attractions including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, The Indiana Jones Adventure, and Journey Into Imagination. He also served as the executive producer of Disneyland Paris.
During this two-day event, taking place April 7-8, Tony will share behind-the-scenes details and stories about his time with Walt Disney Imagineering. Friday is all about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as Tony discusses the project from the initial blue sky concepts to the opening of the attraction. Saturday is all things EPCOT, as Tony delves into the creation of Journey Into Imagination and other EPCOT stories.
Individual tickets are $34.99, but you can also update to a VIP ticket for either day (or both). VIP ticket holders with enjoy hors d’oeuvres in an intimate setting as Tony answers your questions. You will have the opportunity for a photo and will receive a signed photo.
