The month of December makes me think about parties. And parties make me think about food… and cocktails. There are so many festive cocktail recipes out there that I just had to share a few of them with you in today’s Friday Five.
1. Santa’s White Christmas Holiday Sipper
The folks over at Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen know their coffee, but they also know how to put together a killer cocktail. This tasty cocktail only has three ingredients but makes quite the statement. You could even make a non-alcoholic version by leaving out the Bailey’s if you wanted, but who would want to do that?
2. Spice Apple Cider Champagne Cocktail
When my best friend first told me about Jack Daniel’s Winter Jack I was intrigued. We tried it on my last trip to see her and we both really liked it. The very next day I started looking for cocktail ideas that this could be used for. This was one of the first I came across and the one I’m most excited about trying.
I’ve had a couple martinis where they filled a glass with cotton candy, pour some booze over it, and then you ended up with a sugary sweet cocktail. Fun right? Well these take fun to a whole new level! Just fill some plastic ornaments with cotton candy and then when you are ready to serve, pour in some vodka. Easy and super cute!
Of course I HAD to include a peppermint cocktail on this list. It is pretty and festive! In addition to making a fun cocktail, you can get out any pent up holiday stress when you beat the heck out of the peppermints 🙂  If you wanted to get really girlie (I mean festive), you could even had a drop of red food coloring to make it pink.
I love that this cocktail is green! It is also something that could be easily made by the punch bowl OR non-alcoholic for the kiddos.
I hope this list inspires you to have some fun with your cocktails this season or helps with your party planning. I know I will be trying out a few of these myself in the coming weeks.
