Food Trucks are all the rage right now and they have finally made their way to Central Florida. I got interested in them because we have a cupcake truck here – the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. I mean how could one obsessed with cupcakes NOT be interested in a mobile cupcake shop? But unfortunately I hadn’t been able to meet up with them yet. So when I found out that there was going to be a Food Truck Cafe (pretty much its a couple hours every Tuesday where the local food trucks get together and feed the masses) in Maitland I had to check it out.
We got there right when it started and walked by all the trucks to see what we wanted to get to eat. We finally decided on Big Wheel Provisions. As soon as I saw 3 Cheese & Chive Crispy Grit Cakes I was sold. The line was all ready kinda long, so I stood in line while my friend went and got our cupcakes. I was NOT going to miss out on cupcakes. Holy buckets of food batman! We each got a main dish and a side to share. We easily could have just gotten 1 of each to share and had more than enough food, but at least we got to try a couple of things. Everything was amazing! They even had homemade keylime soda – it was kinda like sprite, without the lemon and a WHOLE lotta lime.

the food trucks are supposed to be at the dillards @ Fashion Square Mall on Sunday evening. We’ve tried to go before, but there were too many people! Urgh, we’ll get there some time.
Side note, have you checked out of the carnival food place on 17-92 in Casselberry? Fried Twix Bars! Fried EVERYTHING!
Carnival food place?? I must go there!
