DIY Mid-Century Modern Jewelry Hooks

I don’t have a lot of jewelry, but it seems my collection of necklaces has been growing lately. I noticed recently that they were just laying on my dresser with no real home. I knew I had to do something.

I remembered that I bought some super cute hexagon hooks from Target for $3 awhile back. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them, but they were too good of a deal to pass up (and super cute). The first thing I had to do was paint them to match my room. Thankfully there was still some spray paint left from when I painted my lamps.

I removed the hooks and after two quick coats of paint they were ready to go.

I have a full length mirror behind my door and decided this was the perfect place for the hooks. When the door is open you have no idea the mirror or the hooks are even there.

After figuring out where to hang them, based on the length of the necklaces I needed to hang, I put some screws in the wall with my trusty drill. The necklaces aren’t heavy, but I also don’t want them falling down in the middle of the night either.

It didn’t take more than 20 minutes to get my tools together and get these hooks hung. Now I have some hooks for my necklaces that also match my room. I love how spray paint can change up something so quickly – and cheaply!
