I think I’ve officially lost track of time. I woke up yesterday not having a clue what day it was and I still can’t wrap my brain around the fact that it is May. HOW IS IT MAY?? Where did the last two months go?
This past week wasn’t my favorite, but I survived. How’d it go you ask? Let me tell you…
I’ve worked out more in the last week than I have in awhile. It started last Wednesday with a virtual walk with my friend Hope, then I continued on my own with more walking and yoga. I love that even when I’m having a crappy day I can pull out the yoga mat and recenter. Even just 20 minutes makes a world of difference.
It is May. This fits to a tee. Especially since my niece calls me Meh because she can’t say Meg.
A turkey has been roaming my neighborhood. I do NOT live in the country, so this is a very weird occurrence. I saw him Wednesday on my walk and then on Saturday I saw him walk by my front door. I got outside just in time to grab a photo before he headed into my neighbor’s yard.
My weekend was blah. I just couldn’t get motivated, which meant I didn’t get anything done. It really frustrates me when this happens. Usually when I have a funky day I get out and about for awhile, but since not much is open AND I don’t feel super comfortable doing that yet, I was stuck at home. My walk Sunday morning helped, but then my mood just went back to blah.
Monday I was determined to get my week off to a good start. That didn’t happen. By 10:30 am I was on the verge of a full-on panic attack. I stopped everything and did some yoga which REALLY helped. I had an early lunch and read outside before getting back to work. My mood wasn’t great, but at least I avoided a panic attack. I got a few things accomplished before calling it quits for the day.
Yesterday was a lot better thankfully. Nothing extraordinary happened, but I see that as a good thing right now. Just a couple more days and then I’ll be heading over to see my momma for Mother’s Day. Kinda bummed that we can’t really go do anything, but that won’t stop us from having a nice day together.
How are you doing 9 weeks in?
