So what exactly are Crafthouse Cocktails you ask? They are a real cocktail in a bottle (one without a malt base, neon coloring, excess sugar and artificial flavoring). Yup, a full-on ready to go cocktail in a resealable bottle. Cool huh?
Chicago bar owner and restauranteur Matt Lindner, and Global Bartending Champion Charles Joly, saw a need from their guests and came up with a solution using their expertise. Hard work and research exposed the truth that it was possible to bottle the very same from-scratch cocktails that Joly was accustomed to creating at the bar, using identical all-natural ingredients and high-quality small-batch craft spirits.
They created classic cocktails using their favorite variety of ingredients and spirits from some of the best distilleries, just as Joly would do for his attendees at famed events across the world. They maintained their uncompromised requirement of crafting classic cocktails their way — a single batch at a time, attending to every detail, no matter how small.
In the end, they succeeded in producing what has become the Crafthouse Cocktails lineup: a meticulously crafted collection of balanced cocktails, rivaling those of even the most respected craft cocktail bars.
And now I’m sure you are thinking “Well Meghan, are they any good??” Thankfully the fine folks at Crafthouse Cocktails sent me their full line up so that I could try them out and give you the low down. I have tried all of the coktails except for the bourbon one (because I don’t like bourbon).
I can honestly say that I love them all! But, my favorite was the Pineapple Daiquiri. It was so full of flavor without being super sweet. I shared it with my mom and she enjoyed it as well. She is a fan of the super sweet, so it said something that she enjoyed this as well.
One of the best things about these cocktails is that they are SUPER convenient. They come ready to drink! You can throw it in your cooler and drink it straight from the bottle, throw it in an to-go cup with some ice, or even serve it up right in a glass with a garnish. Any way you slice it, these drinks are good to go.
These are available at bars and stores around the country, but if you live in Florida like me you will have to order them online as they unfortunately haven’t made it to us yet. But just last month they showed up in Georgia, so they are getting closer!
With all of us staying a little closer to home these days and not going out for our “regular” happy hours, these are a great thing to have on hand. You can enjoy them at home, on Zoom, in the backyard, or on a social distanced trip to the beach. How ever you are celebrating right now, Crafthouse Cocktails are there to help!
