I am so excited to be heading back to Give Kids the World this year for the Gingerbread Run 5k!
Proceeds from the Gingerbread Run will support Give Kids The World’s mission to provide critically ill children and their families with renewed optimism and enduring hope through transformative, weeklong wish vacations.
The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more. Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a critical illness. Half of all children eligible for a wish through a partnering wish-granting organization choose to visit Central Florida and its collection of theme parks and other attractions.
By participating in the Gingerbread Run, I’ll be supporting the Village and the families it serves. But I can’t do it without your help. Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of some truly brave kids?
On November 6th I will be donning my favorite, and most likely obnoxious, holiday gear to participate in this amazing race.
How can you help you ask? Well, you have two options!
1. Visit my Gingerbread Run 5k page and make a donation! I hope to raise $500 this year.
2. Join my Gingerbread Run 5k team! Looking for a fun and worthwhile holiday race to do this year? Join my team to have some fun and support a worthy cause.
I can’t wait to head out to Give Kids the World Village again this year! If you have never been this is the perfect way to get a glimpse of the amazing work they do each and every day. GKTW is by far my favorite local charity and I would love to share it with you!
