After getting a Universal Orlando Annual Pass earlier this year, I visited the parks twice in the first week I had it. Each time I was there I had at least two times where I said to myself “Man, I wish I had <insert item here>!”
It has been awhile since I’ve had an annual pass so I haven’t been quite as prepared for a couple hours in the parks as I used to be. So I decided to put together a survival kit for the parks – A little bag filled with those “Man I wish I had” items. Something that I can grab on my way out the door and throw in my bag that doesn’t take up a lot of space, but still has those things I might need.
So what is in this survival kit you ask? Well let’s see…
Poncho – because it is Florida
Sunscreen – see above
Chapstick
Gum/Mints
Hand Sanitizer – eww, germs
Pill box – allergy piils, headache pills, tummy pills
Tissues
Hair Tie/Clip
I needed some sturdy, small, and preferably waterproof to hold my survival kit. I decided to go with VELCRO® Brand PRESS-LOK® bags. They’re sturdy and reusable, with an easy open and close system that won’t make you fight for a victory when you are trying to get to that poncho you packed as the first drop of rain start to fall. It even had a little handle to make pulling it out of your bag a bit easier.
I picked the Small sized bag so that it would fit in the bag I usually take to the parks, but the Medium bag would be the perfect size for more than one person. If you want to keep your kit safe but also want it to be cute, you could always put it in another decorative bag. The small sized bag fit perfectly in a Minion bag that I picked up for $3 at Target.
So there you have it – a quick and easy way to make sure that you have everything you need for a day, or afternoon, at the theme parks!
Great idea !!!!! Thanks and enjoy your day !!!
Thanks 🙂 You too!
