Right now Marlow’s Tavern is celebrating fall flavors with its limited time, saucy and smoky Ribs & Whiskey menu. Available now through October 5, the menu features delicious dishes available for dine-in, carryout, or delivery, and pairs perfectly with Marlow’s refreshing cocktails, wine, and beer. I was invited this week to try out the menu and let me tell you, it was just as amazing as it sounded!

The Ribs & Whiskey menu features a choice of three scrumptious sauces: Jack Daniel’s Glaze, Carolina Mustard, or Marlow’s Barbecue. Guests can pair these sweet, tangy, and smoky sauces with the tender ribs or choose from other seasonal favorites. There is also a selection of sides, specialty cocktails, and of course a fabulous dessert on the Ribs & Whiskey menu. They have got you covered from start to finish!

We started the evening with a few of the specialty cocktails from the Ribs & Whiskey menu. I had the Georgia Peach Lemonade, which was Minute Maid Lemonade, peach nectar, Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey, and a frozen peach. I’m not a huge whiskey drinker but this cocktail was amazing. It was sweet and smooth!

For dinner, I tried the Mustard-Blazed Chicken. It was Prestige Farms chicken, glazed with Carolina BBQ sauce, green bean casserole, shiitake mushroom, caramelized onion, Applewood Smoked Bacon, classic mornay, crispy tobacco onion, and sweet corn and jalapeño muffins. Oh. Em. Gee. Let me tell you that this was some of THE BEST green bean casserole I’ve ever had. I could have eaten a full plate of just that and been a happy camper!

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the Honey Bourbon Bread Pudding – Crème-brûlée-soaked Cuban bread and a splash of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey. If you like bread pudding, then this dish alone should have you RUNNING to your nearest Marlow’s Tavern. Who knew that Cuban bread could make such an amazing dessert!? And yes, we got too excited and started eating it before I was able to take a picture, so you get their pretty one instead.

In-tavern and patio dining are open for lunch and dinner 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. daily. Not quite ready to eat in the tavern? Takeout, curbside pick-up, and delivery are available to enjoy your Marlow’s favorites at home. Half off wine bottles and $15 create your own 6-pack beer to-go. (Offerings may vary by neighborhood tavern location.)
