Local Love: Omni ChampionsGate Staycation

Not being able to plan a “real vacation” isn’t so bad when you get home from one great Staycation and immediately get to start preparing for the next one. In less than two weeks I’ll be heading to the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate for a Staycation with my bestie Laura. We are so excited!

Omni ChampionsGate Staycation

The Omni ChampionsGate is one of our favorite resorts for a weekend getaway. One of the best parts, for us at least, is that its almost EXACTLY in the middle between where we both live. In just about an hour we can both get there and enjoy a weekend together. It really is the perfect place to just get away – yummy places to eat, 2 pools and a lazy river, one of the biggest hot tubs I’ve ever seen, and THE MOST comfortable hotel beds I’ve had the pleasure of sleeping in.

This summer Omni ChampionsGate has a 110 Days of Summer Package. You can enjoy luxurious resort accommodations, a waived resort service charge and a $25 resort credit to treat you and the family (or your bestie) to everything from resort scavenger hunts and golf clinics to family sushi lessons and Friday night s’mores! As part of the package, if guests share their experiences on social media using #OmniOrlando and/or #110Days the resort will surprise them with delights ranging from free gelato to an upgrade to the presidential suite. How fun is that?

While at the Omni we are planning to try out the Art of Breakfast Buffet at Trevi’s. Omni Hotels believes that breakfast should be a stimulating and healthy start to your day. So they are committed to providing a culinary experience that tempts your palate and challenges the traditional breakfast fare. Combining national trends with regional flavors they have sourced cage free eggs, organic fiber rich cereals, steel cut oats, gluten free breakfast breads and our signature blueberry maple sausage patty that does not contain hormones or other additives.

The Art of Breakfast Buffet sounds amazing! It includes fresh fruits, yogurts, organic and gluten free cereals, bread and butter bar featuring oven baked fresh breads and bakery selections with imported butters and preserves, farm fresh cage free eggs and omelets cooked to order, applewood smoked bacon and natural breakfast sausage, breakfast potatoes, coffee or tea and choice of juice. I will have no problem starting my Sunday this way.

We plan to spend a LOT of time by the pool and floating on the lazy river. We’ll probably have dinner somewhere nearby and then come back to the resort to enjoy a couple drinks at one of their amazing bars. But our main goal is to just relax, enjoy the resort, and have a fun weekend together!

*Disclosure: I’ve been provided a complimentary stay at the Omni ChampionsGate in exchange for blog posts. As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Pictures include in this post are from the Omni website.

I loooove this hotel. It’s been awhile since I’ve stayed there but I went a few years ago and had a BLAST. The pool alone is just…so dreamy. Thanks for the reminder. I’m looking for a place to have a babymoon and I’m going to put this place on my list.

Keep up the great work, fellow Central FL Lady blogger! 🙂
