Quack Attack on Poverty 5k is back! I am so excited that this super fun fundraising race is back again for 2020!

Quack Attack on Poverty 5k is a professionally-timed race for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. This unique event requires participants to wear an inflatable duck-shaped pool float through a 3.1 mile course featuring bubble, squirt gun and quack zones. It is a great event and I’m participating again this year.

The goal of this community-based event is to raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit United Against Poverty Orlando whose mission is to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency.

Orlando is best known as the number one tourist destination on the planet, with three times as many people visiting Central Florida as Paris last year. Along with our number one ranking as the most popular place on earth, we also hold the designation of being number one in some areas we aren’t as proud of– areas that most Floridians have no idea we as a community are struggling with.

Your participation in this race is a chance to be a voice for the hundreds of thousands of families who are silently struggling in Central Florida. All funds raised from sponsorships, registration fees and participant fundraising pages will benefit United Against Poverty Orlando. Together, we can break the cycle of poverty for Central Florida families.
