I love decorating for the holidays, but I honestly hate putting holes in the walls for something that is going to come down after 6 weeks. One way around this is taking down my regular art and replacing it with my holiday pieces. This works great until I come across a piece that I don’t have an existing space for. Thankfully this year I had VELCRO® Brand HANGables™ Removable Wall Fasteners to help me out!

Frames go up without any hassles, and then when you want to remove them, they come down without any damage to your wall. Sounds perfect for holiday decorating right?
I wanted to add the Santa piece to a collage of photos that I already had up. I didn’t want to take any of them down, so this gave me the perfect way to add to the collage without putting holes in the wall.
In just three easy steps you can get your holiday art safely on the wall with NO HOLES! For my project I used the VELCRO® Brand HANGables™ strips that will hold up to 4 pounds. It was probably overkill, but I didn’t want to be scared in the middle of the night by my artwork hitting the floor.
Step 1:
Locate the permanent strip. Remove the protective liner and attach the permanent strip to the item you intend to hang. Press firmly.
Step 2:
Locate the removable strip. It is the silver strip with a red tab. Do not touch the adhesive. Touching the adhesive will weaken the performance of the strip. Pair the removable strip with the permanent strip.
Step 3:
Position your item on the wall and attach. Press firmly for 30 seconds directly over where you placed each strip.
I love that I was able to hang up some additional art for the holidays without putting holes in the wall. AND it was super easy to do! I’m sure some of you are like me in that if something temporary, like hanging holiday art, is too hard to do you just skip it. VELCRO® Brand HANGables™ made this a quick and easy project.
Once the holidays are over and its time to take down your art, it is just as easy to do as hanging it was. Grab the red part of the removable tab (the part stuck to the wall) and pull up towards the ceiling. That’s it! Now your can pack your art away until next year.
