I love Peppermint! When the holidays roll around I feel like a little voice in my head is constantly saying saying “Eat/Drink All the Peppermint things!” Today I’m sharing 5 great Peppermint recipes and ideas.
Making bark is one of the best things to make during the holidays. Its easy, it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, and its very pretty! Its great to add to a tray of cookies for a party or makes a great hostess gifts. You could even personalize some recycled Christmas tins to give them away in.
2. Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Latte
I love all the peppermint holiday drink that the coffee shops serve during the holiday season, but HATE the high price tag. I ordered a peppermint mocha last weekend and it cost me close to $5. Holy cow! It was very tasty, but I could have thought of a bunch of things I’d rather have spent that $5 on. This wonderful recipe means you can still have a yummy holiday coffee drink without spending $4-5 ever time.
3. Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge
When I was growing up my mom and I would bake a TON of different Christmas cookies. But one night both my parents would be in the kitchen making up a bunch of different kinds of fudge. I always sat this night out and just enjoyed the chaos from my seat at the counter. Now that I’m a grown up if I want some holiday fudge I have to make it for myself. This recipe satisfies my love of fudge and peppermint at the same time. Plus its super easy!
4. Candy Cane Place Card Holders
If you want to add some candy canes to your holiday decor, these candy cane place card holders are an easy way to do that. Plus they are a great use for a cheap box of mini candy canes. You could even make a larger version with full sized candy canes and use them to display holiday photos.
I couldn’t have a Friday 5 peppermint list without including at least one baked good. I love that this brownies are minty AND topped with pink frosting. So often “mint” recipes end up green, but this peppermint chip brownie recipe is all about the pink! Tasty and festive.
I hope you enjoy these Peppermint ideas! Let me know if you decide to incorporate any of them into your holiday festivities.
