Last week I had the pleasure of hosting a Visit Cheeselandia cheese party for some of my friends. I was sent SEVEN POUNDS of fabulous Wisconsin cheese to spoil my guests with. I decided that I needed a little dessert to go with all the cheese and decided to use one of the cheeses to do it. Thankfully I was sent some Mascarpone cheese that worked perfectly!
Ingredients
Mascarpone cheese
Fresh Berries (I used strawberries and blackberries)
Honey (I used local honey)
1. Cut up strawberries
2. Mix blackberries and strawberries together
3. Stir in a tablespoon of sugar – let sit in the fridge overnight
4. Fill dishes with 1 – 2 tablespoons of Mascarpone cheese
5. Top with berries
6. Drizzle with honey
And that my friends is it! I made mine in small mini dishes that could be picked up and eaten with a small fork since this wasn’t a sit down dinner. You could easily up the amounts and make these in small ramekins for a sit down meal.
This cheesecake like dessert was the perfect sweet treat for my party. I love that it was super easy to put together, looked great, and wasn’t super sweet.
*Disclosure: I was provided complimentary cheese for this party by Visit Cheeselandia. As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
