Dress for Success Greater Orlando is bringing back one of Central Florida’s favorite foodie events – Cupcake Challenge! How can you go wrong with two of my favorite things – charity and cupcakes!
In its seventh year, the event is going festive with the theme Holiday Edition. It takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at the Winter Park Civic Center.
The sweet competition brings together the best local bakeries to battle it out for bragging rights. A panel of notable judges and the crowd pick the winner in categories such as best flavor, most unique presentation, best overall and crowd favorite. Judges include Emily Ellyn, Retro Rad chef at Emily Ellyn Productions; Allison Walker Torres, Spectrum News 13 entertainment reporter and IN FOCUS host; Faiyaz Kara, Orlando Weekly restaurant critic; Kristen Manieri, founder of Orlando Date Night Guide; Jeanette Johnson, founder of J’s Everyday Fashion; and Suzy Farmar, food blogger with SoozieTheFoodie.
Families can take their photo with Santa by a professional photographer and enjoy holiday activities for kids. Savory bites from local restaurants and caterers will also be provided. Guests can bid on exciting Silent Auction items between tasting delicious treats.
Tickets are $22 for adults, $12 for kids, and free for children younger than 4. They are available at
