I’m obsessed with the stuff. It’s so tasty, especially if you get the sweet version, and has this bit of a minty flavor to it. Every time I go there I end up drinking WAY too much of the stuff and spend the rest of the afternoon/evening jittery, but it is SO worth it.
Well last night I decided that I wanted some iced tea, but the only tea I had in the house was some Tazo Green Ginger tea. I usually make it hot, but thought what the heck and gave it a try. I haven’t made iced tea in forever (the ex would always make it and before that it was my mom making sun tea) so I wasn’t really sure what to do. So I filled a medium pot with water, threw in three tea bags and set it on the stove for awhile. Then I put that mixture along with a 1/2 cup of sugar into my spiffy new Tang pitcher and added some ice cubes. I had NO idea if it was going to taste good or not. By the time it cooled down it was time for bed, so I just threw it in the fridge and that was that.
Today when I made a grilled cheese sandwich for “lunch” I decided to give the tea a try. Oh. Em. Gee. I somehow ended up making iced green tea that tastes EXACTLY like the stuff from Cheesecake Factory. This could be REALLY bad. Or really good. If I make it myself it won’t cost me close to $3 every time I want some. I mean I can get a whole box of tea bags for just around that price. So yeah, I am a very happy iced green tea drinking gal this aftermoon 🙂
Yum! Tis the time for iced tea again….if only the weather would agree 🙂
Look delicious
i was out of town when we went 2 the cheesecake factory, my girlfriend had the iced green tea & gave me a sip…WOW…it was SO GOOD! I’m a “sun tea” maker myself…but went & bought some green tea & tried, but it wasnt the same…so I “googled” it…Thank goodness I found what i was looking for..so i bought the right tea..its sitting on the porch…i’m hoping it comes out @ least “almost” as good as “Cheesecake Factory’s!” Thx so much 4 sharing the recipe…and here’s 2 hoping mine turns out as good, as we dont have a “Cheesecake Factory” here in my town!
I have never had tea like the green tea from the cheesecake factory. I went to the factory for the first time last weekend and I drank 3 glasses – had to get my monies worth ya know. Then left there and since, have wondered how they make it. I am going to try this and reply how it came out. I cant wait – going to the store in the morning to try it. Dont bother with Lipton …NOT anywheres near it. Thanks all!!

ITS PICKWICK MINT GREEN TEA BY TAZO. I ASKED THEM. WITH A SPRIG OF MINT!!!!
I’m struggling– Tazo has a mint version which doesn’t appear to be green tea, but an infusion of spearmint and peppermint. Their green tea version is called “Zen”. Is it one of those? Is Pickwick part of Tazo–from what I can see they are a different company, maybe?
This is what I found for pickwick:

I used to order this all the time, but have moved out of the country.. I’m desperate to figure out how to make it. Any help would be much appreciated it!!
I just used regular tazo green tea, which seems to have enough mint in it to work. A reader before you is the one that said that they use the Pickwick Mint Green Tea by Tazo.
My friend always has their green tea. I thought that I would try it to be a little heathy . It was fanstantic I could not get enough of it. I asked the waiter what brand it was he said that it was pickwick. I went to the store to find something similar . It must be the spearmint that makes it so fresh tasting. I have now found my new favorite flavor.
