Simple Goal #2 is complete and BOY was it amazing!
But let me back up a bit. Thursday DID not go the way I had hoped or anticipated. I ended up having to stay at work all day. So at 4:30 I ran home, packed up the bake sale stuff and the dog, and was on the road by 5:30. But of course, I get to I-4 and there is an accident. I was so frustrated that I almost just turned around and went home. The show started at 8 and I didn’t even get to Rob & Laura’s (to drop off the dog) until 8… and the show was 20 minutes from there. I got to Ybor around 8:20, parked in a parking garage behind the venue, and RAN from the car to the show. Yes folks, I was running down the street in Ybor in a mini skirt. I gave the bouncers at the front door quite a laugh though. And as I walked through the doors the lights went out and Bush walked out on stage. Talk about good timing!
It was an amazing show. There were no opening bands and they played for 1.5 hours. It took a couple songs for me to find Rob & Laura (Laura actually found me). But after that I was literally 4 rows away from Gavin Rossdale. YUM-O! Best. Thursday Night. Ever.
Friday Laura and I spent the day doing all sorts of stuff… baking, sorting, shopping, and more shopping. That night we went to dinner at Square 1 where I had an X-rated Grilled Cheese sandwich and then went to see Red at Cinebistro – a movie theater with a full bar, full dinner service, and you have to be 21 or over to even step foot in the theater. I don’t think i’ll be able to go to a regular movie theater ever again.
Saturday was the 1st L’Oven Fresh Bakers’ charity bake sale. It went really well. We didn’t sell out, but we still made a good amount of money and had a great time. The weather was nice for most of the day. It finally got hot around 3, but thats when it was time to pack up and head home. After the bake sale I stopped to see some friends and their new house in Wimauma before heading back to Orlando. I MAY have made a pit-stop on my way home for some smooches 🙂 Possibly.
