5 Days of Thankfulness – Day 5: Travel

It wasn’t until the last 8 years or so that I started traveling. I’m so thankful that I’m at a point in my life where I have the means and the time to travel. I’ve always loved visiting new places, but until recently I really hadn’t made my way out of Florida. But now I’ve traveled to Savannah, NYC, Washington DC, Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Antonio, and most recently, Portugal.

I’ve visited historic sights, run races, ate and drank my way through amazing cities, met celebrity chefs, gone ice skating out the National History Museum, visited wineries, and seen the ocean on both coasts.

I’ve stayed in AirBnBs, hotels, motels, with friends, and at 4 star resorts.

I’ve realized how much I love traveling and how much of the world I’ve still got left to see. After my trip to Portugal, which was also my first trip to Europe, I’ve realized that I need to add more stamps to my passport.

I’m thankful for the opportunities my blog as given me and for friends that love to explore with me.

These past 5 days I’ve realized just how lucky I am. Things may not always be perfect and I have days where I’m down in the dumps, but things could definitely be worse. I’m lucky to have all that I do and I plan to make sure never to take any of it for granted.

So what are YOU thankful for?
