Every year Give Kids the World hosts a fundraiser 5k that gives you the opportunity to run through the Give Kids the World Village. I love Give Kids the World and I love holiday races, so this is the perfect race for me to sign up for. So for the second year in a row I’ll be heading out to GKTW Village for this fun filled event!
Give Kids The World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families. Give Kids The World’s Challenge for Hope welcomes you inside their magical Village to experience the wonder, happiness and hope that happens there every day!
The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more. Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a critical illness. Half of all children eligible for a wish through a partnering wish-granting organization choose to visit Central Florida and its collection of theme parks and other attractions.
On November 9th I will be donning my favorite, and most likely obnoxious, holiday gear to participate in this amazing race. How can you help you ask? Well you have two options!
1. Visit my Challenge for Hope page and make a donation! I hope to raise $500 this year.
2. Join my Challenge for Hope team! Looking for a fun and worthwhile holiday race to do this year? Join my team to have some fun and support a worthy cause.
I can’t wait to head out to Give Kids the World Village again this year! If you have never been this is the perfect way to get a glimpse of the amazing work they do each and every day. GKTW is by far my favorite local charity and I would love to share it with you!
